The company ran many &quot;for-profit&quot; subsidiaries and seemed to have plenty of money for top executives.  Each year we filled out a form to list any non-pay things we may have done outside of work so they could fill their &quot;benefit to community&quot; status even though they were in no way connected to that.  For example, I used my own vacation time to help teach a couple of hours a week at a school for homeless kids.  They took the credit on their taxes, not me.  Toni in Carmichael]]></description>
