- A quotidian, daily thing
- A work referencing mundane aspects of everyday life
The Quotidian began with the realization that the economic meltdown and election of 2008 marked the beginning of a new reality where only the truly creative solutions to everyday problems would make a difference in our world. From this, I became interested in documenting and understanding this new class of individuals and organizations who were going beyond traditional definitions of public/private or corporate/nonprofit to improve people’s experiences in light of these challenges.
The project has taken various forms since its inception: as a longform blog, an ongoing video documentary series, a motivator of new organizational models. While all of these models have had an impact at various times of focus, The Quotidian is now returning to its roots as an instigator of conversation about finding new ways to look at the same old things.
